The PCHAS Foster Care & Adoption staff in Texas are phenomenal. The level of commitment, attention to detail, knowledge and skill necessary for a team to provide high-quality foster care and adoption services is mind-boggling. PCHAS serves children through our offices in Cypress, Irving, Itasca, Wichita Falls, and Graham, Texas, as well as The Foster Care Village in Itasca, Texas, so we have an impressive number of "rockstars" on our team. Take a moment to read about some of the roles of our staff and "meet" some of our amazing team members.
Our Foster Care & Adoption Guides are on a mission to find families for Texas children in foster care. They raise awareness in the communities we serve, lead our Foster Care & Adoption Online Info Sessions, and help families who are thinking about fostering or adopting. Read more about their roles and meet our Guides.
Saying "yes" to fostering or adopting is an important step, but it's just the beginning. Verification for foster care and/or approval for adoption requires extensive background checking, training and documentation, and culminates in a thorough family home study. PCHAS has at least one Home Developer supporting each of our teams in order to help families stay on track throughout the process. Click the links below to meet Gabrielle, Hannah, Brittanie and Winell and learn why they love helping families prepare to care for children.
Families verified with PCHAS are assigned a Foster Care & Adoption Case Manager to help them before, during and after placement. Case Managers help families stay up-to-date with regulations and paperwork and are trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention to help parents as they care for children. Whether the family is just getting started or a seasoned pro, our Case Managers empower parents so they can ensure kids are safe and feel loved. Read about some of our case managers, find out more about what they do, and see why they love their work.
