Raise Up the Voice of Local Children Needing Families

There are nearly 14,000 children in foster care in Texas. Most of these kids are school-age and many are part of a sibling group. All have experienced abuse, neglect or both. These children need families like you to consider fostering or adopting and to spread the word.

Mission 1:27 is an awareness initiative designed to assist churches in raising up the voices of local children needing families. PCHAS is pleased to offer Mission 1:27, at no cost, for churches in and around Houston, Itasca, Dallas/Fort Worth and Wichita Falls. 

A PCHAS Foster Care & Adoption Guide will support you as you bring awareness of the need for foster and adoptive families to your congregation and invite them to an informational event. To help, you will have access to the full suite of resources, including:
