Growing up is hard. And sometimes, life throws challenges at young people — and their families — that feel too big to handle alone. Trauma, bullying, family changes, and questions about who you are can weigh heavily on even the strongest kids.
I’m Christina McClure, a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in Missouri, and I offer In-Person counseling at The Counseling Center at PCHAS in Farmington. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, and I bring both professional training and years of hands-on experience with youth and families to every session.
I work with children, teens, and families who are facing some of life’s hardest moments. Together, we can work through things like:
• Trauma and abuse recovery
• Anxiety and emotional regulation
• Bullying and social challenges
• Family and life changes
• Identity and self-worth
• Building real, lasting coping skills
I also lead adolescent groups to help young people understand their own emotions and build tools they can actually use. Watching that click for a teenager is incredibly rewarding.
Mental health matters just as much as physical health. Reaching out for help isn’t a weakness — it’s one of the strongest things a person can do. Counseling isn’t just for moments of crisis. It’s for everyday life, stronger families, and a more connected community.
“Adolescence is a critical time. Early support can create lasting, positive change. These young people are our future.”
If you or someone you love could use a safe space to talk, grow, and heal — Christina and the rest of the team at The Counseling Center at PCHAS in Farmington, Missouri are ready to help.
