Children do not come with a step-by-step guide for parents to follow, especially when they’ve experienced early trauma. But thanks to ongoing research, we have Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), an attachment-rich, trauma-informed model to guide parents and help kids heal. PCHAS weaves the empowering, connecting and correcting principles into everything we do.
We train foster and adoptive families and staff in TBRI®, but it is much more than a class. TBRI is a way of life. Recently, we asked some families to share how they use TBRI® in their homes. Their stories were great, and we are excited to share their feedback with you.
It is an honor to equip families to serve kids through foster care and adoption, and there is nothing better than seeing families thrive as they put TBRI® into action in their homes. If you have ever considered fostering or adopting and want to help kids heal through connection, we want to get to know you.
