When it comes to finding families for children, the most powerful thing we can do is help real people understand real kids’ real needs. That means anyone willing to share with their community can be a strong advocate for children in foster care.

At Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS), we are on a mission to find a family for every child who needs one. Here are five ways you can join us:

  1. Learn more about foster care. Many things we hear about foster care are false and can even be harmful. Be part of the solution. Learn how foster care and adoption work and learn about the current needs in our community. PCHAS Online Info Sessions are a great place to start.

  2. Share what you are learning with your friends and family. You know many people who also care for kids in our community. Encourage them to attend an Online Info Session, too.

  3. Raise awareness within your church. We will guide you to utilize our Mission 1:27 resources to deepen your congregation's understanding of God’s heart for vulnerable children and the many ways to help.

  4. Use your social media for good! Become a friend of PCHAS on our various platforms, interact with us online, and share things you care about with your friends and family.

  5. Put a sign in your yard. If you live in the Wichita Falls, Dallas/Fort Worth, or Itasca area, we invite you to join us in spreading the word in our community. Let us know if you want a sign!

There are many ways to get involved. How will you use your voice?
