As a staff accountant, Mary found joy not in the spotlight but in the quiet satisfaction of keeping things running smoothly. With her legendary dependability, Mary jokes that no one ever missed a paycheck on her watch.

She was drawn to the agency’s mission and found it a perfect fit for her passion for nonprofits. From navigating the merger in 2018 to switching payroll companies with grace, Mary tackled every challenge with her signature poise. “I like change,” she admits, “It keeps you adaptable.

Mary recalls countless lighthearted moments in the accounting department, where her team mastered the art of turning stressful days into belly laughs. “Sometimes, you just need to get a little silly,” she shares with a grin.
