New PCHAS Board Officers (L-R): Bill Parker, Gloria Lewis, John Hamm and Amy White.
Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) has elected officers and welcomed five new members for its 18-member board of trustees. William “Bill” Parker, a retired chemical industry executive who lives in Houston, will serve as board chair. Gloria Lewis, assistant vice president of compliance for AT&T, will serve as vice chair and John Hamm, retired attorney and CPA, will serve as its board treasurer. Both reside in the Dallas area. St. Louisan Amy White, an employment law attorney with Littler, has been elected as board secretary.
Bruce Williams of Farmington, Missouri rejoins the board of trustees. Williams is president and chief executive officer of US Tool Group. Two other Missourians join the board for a first term: Joyce Wilks-Love, a retired educator and former owner of a St. Louis day care center, and Rev. Angela Madden, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Jefferson City. The board also welcomes two members from the Dallas area: consultant and former state legislator James “Jim” Pitts, who rejoins the board, and Ruth Román-Meza, principal at Bishop Arts Elementary School, a STEM campus.
Founded in Dallas in 1903, PCHAS has its headquarters in Austin and provides programs across Texas, Missouri and Louisiana. Board terms of service are three years, staggered to provide continuity.
