Foster to Furever: An Ashley House Project

At PCHAS, we're always looking for ways to provide normalcy and comfort to our clients. That's why our Transitional Living Program at Ashley House in Springfield, Missouri began partnering with a local animal shelter to foster dogs and find them a forever home. Residents are responsible for taking care of a dog, as well as trying to find it a home. The project provides the opportunity for the girls to learn responsibility, leadership skills and teamwork, and caring for a dog helps them build trusting relationships.
