We focus on every child’s strength and the possibilities of the future. But before a child or family can begin their healing, they must be safe and healthy. Our residential programs provide a variety of loving homes to give children and parents the security they deserve and the space they need to tap those inner strengths.
Our aim is to give struggling single parents a chance to raise their children in a safe, nurturing environment where they can all succeed.
One of the ways we help children tap into their strengths and achieve their goals of healing is to focus on education. Our learning programs serve all ages of children in a number of program settings.
Children come into our care for a number of reasons. Often it’s because they have been abused, neglected or abandoned. Many struggle with depression and anxiety. Some exhibit harmful behavior because of exposure to substance abuse, domestic violence or other trauma during their childhood. All are welcome.
Many young adults who transition from foster care to adult life on their own experience difficulties. We make sure those new adults are ready to manage their education or employment, and that they can achieve their goals of self-sufficiency. In Missouri, we provide a Level III Residential program which uses a transitional living curriculum to help struggling young women bridge the gap between foster care and living independently.
