Our goal is to secure permanent homes for children. When possible, we reunite families. When that is not possible, PCHAS works within the state’s foster care network to provide both emergency and long-term placement solutions for children. Considering the best interest of the child, we strive to place siblings together in a relative/kinship placement whenever safe and appropriate. Ages range from infancy to 17 at the time of admission.
PCHAS case managers work with foster parents to give children stability and healing. We structure our therapeutic services to help children and parents cope with social and emotional difficulties, developmental delays, learning problems and behavioral challenges.
Medical Case Management serves children who are a part of our Foster Care Case Management Program. These children have been removed from their homes due to alleged child abuse, neglect or some other family crisis.
Medical Case Management supports the work of the primary case manager by ensuring that health is prioritized during their temporary placement and that they have access to the medical care they need. The Medical Case Manager supports the PCHAS foster care case managers as well as all of the other agencies of the Missouri Alliance consortium.
Our foster care case management consortium is contracted by the Missouri Alliance for Children and Families and we work collaboratively with the partner agencies within our consortium.
