We are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of the Bi-Stone Family Resource Center in Mexia, Texas! This new center is part of the Growing Together program of Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) and aims to provide essential support to families in Limestone and Freestone counties.
A Collaborative Effort for Healthier Families
In 2024, the Healthy Outcomes through Prevention & Early Support (HOPES) initiative will join forces with PCHAS’ Growing Together Program to offer vital prevention programs. These programs are especially important in areas with a higher risk of maltreatment, ensuring that families receive the support they need to thrive.
Comprehensive Services for Families
The Bi-stone Family Resource Center will offer a wide range of services designed to support families, including:
Our dedicated staff will utilize evidence-based approaches such as Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), Circle of Security Parenting, and the Mothers and Babies curriculum. These services are available to all families with at least one child under six, regardless of the ages of other children.
Partnering for Greater Impact
PCHAS’ Growing Together Program has also joined the Texas Community Partner Program with Texas Health and Human Services. This partnership will help families sign up for state benefits such as SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, and CHIP, ensuring they have access to crucial resources.
Upcoming Open House!
Growing Together Bi-Stone Family Resource Center will host an open house on Tuesday, September 10th, from 4:00-7:00 pm at 304 E Commerce St., Suite 100, Mexia, Texas. To learn more about the open house, contact Katy Andrews at katy.andrews@pchas.org or call 254-237-6318.
