More Information About Insurance and Payment

Insurance plans vary. Most cover therapy only for diagnosed mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. Many do not cover marriage or relationship counseling. Your therapist can provide further explanation during your first session when they will assess and provide a diagnosis after gathering sufficient information. Diagnoses may change as treatment progresses, potentially resulting in adjustments to insurance coverage.

PCHAS will check your benefits before your first appointment. We encourage you to understand your coverage, as well. Please notify us of any changes or renewals, as accepted plans and benefits are subject to change.

You are responsible for all deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and non-covered services. Payment is due at or before the time of service and is non-refundable. Credit or Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) are the preferred form of payment, but we also accept Cash or Checks, Money Orders, and Cashier's Checks payable to Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services.

You are financially responsible for all services, including instances such as changes to your insurance plan coverage, discrepancies between the estimated coverage provided by your insurance plan and its payment of submitted claims, or denied claims that our staff is unable to successfully appeal.
