Essential Job Functions:
Participate as a member of the admission team in the screening and admission of new residents.
Coordinate involvement of the resident's family in the treatment process.
Participate in regular case staffing of assigned residents including preparation of treatment plan reviews.
Manager day to day resident behavioral consequences, positive and negative, and intervene in crisis situations as needed.
Maintain communication and manage the flow of information regarding the resident's progress.
Conduct the weekly changeover meetings with child care workers, and provide supervision of child care workers, as assigned.
Interpret agency services to the community and specialized groups, as assigned.
Attend regular changeover meetings, staff meetings, supervisory conferences and required in service trainings.
Assist in risk management and quality improvement activities related to the resident care and treatment.
Child Care Workers, as assigned.
Works in a site office and is frequently walking to/inside the resident living unit(s).
Education: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a closely related discipline from an accredited educational program. Upon employment, must pursue continuing education and/or in-service training as required for this job position.
Experience: Two (2) years’ experience working with general client populations such as child welfare, juvenile justice, hospital settings, etc., is highly desirable.
Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with professionals and clients/families; have good understanding of psycho social assessment and knowledge of various treatment methodologies, utilizing strength-based interventions; minimal supervision regarding use of time; understanding and following accreditation/licensing/government regulations; willingness to work irregular hours; and an ability to prioritize work assignments to balance the many demands of the position.Apply
