PCHAS provides after-school support services such as counseling, life skills, tutoring and transportation services for youth who are experiencing housing instability. Some participants may be eligible to receive housing.

School social workers, counselors and teachers can refer high-school students who are experiencing housing instability to this program. Participants receive individualized case management and therapeutic services to assist them in completing their education successfully. Short-term transitional housing may be available to provide structure and nurturing until housing stability is possible.

An after-school program provides a safe haven for participants. The program is free to any at-risk student attending local school districts within the areas served.

The after-school program provides access to:

  • Tutoring
  • Nutritious meals
  • Laundry and showering facilities
  • Community closet for basic needs
  • Life skills education
  • Substance abuse education
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Recreational activities
  • Christian life nurturing
