Christi Shortes, LPC

Christi Shortes, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Texas after fostering many children from hard places. Christi has more than 20 years of experience in this field, and her relationships with foster, adoptive, and biological families have blessed her with a wide range of experiences. This exposure has empowered her resolve to help strengthen families. Professionally, Christi has worked as the director of a residential shelter in the Florida Keys, and she has worked with students in the school setting, helping prepare them for college.  She uses a variety of counseling styles and methods as she works with individuals, couples, and families ranging from 3 years old to all ages of adulthood.  Christi listens, seeks to truly understand, and focuses on each client's unique mental health goals, so that each person she gets to serve can improve how they feel about themselves and the world around them.
