Do you wish your group or church had opportunities to make a difference in the lives of kids in foster care? Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) can help!

We offer Foster Care & Adoption Online Info Sessions weekly, but we can also come to you for in-person events.

We are committed to the well-being of children and families and eager to partner with like-minded churches and organizations. Here are five reasons why PCHAS should speak at your church:

1. Experience: PCHAS has served countless children and families over the last 120 years, and we’ve learned a lot along the way. We can bring valuable insights, guidance, and information about the foster care and adoption process, requirements and best practices.

2. Faith-Based Approach: PCHAS's approach is rooted in Christian values and principles. We can share how faith plays a crucial role in the foster care and adoption journey, addressing children's and families' spiritual and emotional needs.

3. Community Engagement: Serving children in foster care and the families who care for them offers you a new way to serve your community and opportunities to include people who may not be familiar with your church. PCHAS can help you brainstorm new ways to make a positive impact right where you live.

4. Awareness and Education: Understanding how foster care and adoption affect the lives of children and families is vital. Our team can help your group or church learn about the realities, challenges, and joys of foster care and adoption, dispelling myths and misconceptions. There is a huge need for families in the areas we serve, especially for school-aged children and siblings. Partnering with PCHAS to educate the community and raise awareness can change lives.

5. Opportunities for Involvement: Having PCHAS speak at your church allows your congregation to learn about volunteer opportunities, support initiatives, and potential ways to get involved in foster care and adoption efforts. People need a way to live out the things of faith they learn about at church. We can help!

Connecting with PCHAS is easy. Email fosteradopt@pchas.org or call 281-324-0544. We will work with you to make a plan that works well for your church or group and matches your community's needs.
