Every New Mom Needs Support

At age 18, youth in foster care often choose to emancipate. More than 1,200 teens made this decision last year and many did not have a reliable support system to depend on. We can expect that 70% of these young women will be pregnant or parenting by the age of 21. Think for a moment about what it would be like to become a parent at a young age, without support.

By fostering teens you can become the lifeline they can call in the years to come. Whether your commitment to their future is affirmed by legal permanency or a commitment you’ve made in your heart, you can be the one they turn to for all the good, and hard, things ahead.
