We are so excited for each and every one of our graduates and what their future holds. We want you to get a glimpse of the amazing young men and women we have had the privilege of getting to know through our Group Home Program, in their own words. Meet Stormy.

What year/grade did you come into PCHAS’ care?

9th grade

What are your plans after graduation?

I want to go to Navarro College for my basics and major in music education. I would like to teach music.

Are you currently employed or were you employed in the past? If so, where do you work? What do you do? What do you like about it?

I work at the Catfish Plantation. It’s haunted.

Are you involved in sports or other extracurricular activities at school? Which ones?

Choir, law enforcement and wellness.

What are your interests outside of school (could be a hobby, church group)? What church activities have you participated in (nursery worker, Vacation Bible School, youth choir, etc.)?

I love to watch Supernatural, a TV show. I like to listen to music and find quotes from songs. And sleep is wonderful!

Have you won any awards or received other honors at work, school, church or the community?

I was student of the month in 5th grade.

What are you known for (could be a personality trait, flair for acting or art, musical talent, athletics, academics) by your friends and housemates?

I’m a musical kid, a choir nerd. I am headstrong and silly.

What is one of your favorite memories from your time with PCHAS?

I loved going to the concerts with Mrs. Sydney, a former Group Home staff member. I will also miss my Home Parents, Brad and Brandy, and I’ll miss Jeremy, but I’ll visit and keep in contact.

What/who will you miss the most when you leave (school, church camp, mentors, House Parents?)

I will miss my Home Parents, Brad and Brandy, and I’ll miss Jeremy, but I’ll visit and keep in contact.

What else is interesting about you that you think we should know? What are some of your favorite things in the world (favorite animal, food, place, day of the year, holiday, movie, book, etc.)?

My favorite animal is a snowy owl. My favorite food is Chicken Alfredo. My favorite place is the couch at my aunt’s house where I can sit in a sunken-in spot where my Meemaw used to sit. My favorite movie is The Perks of Being a Wildflower. I love Halloween. I love Winn Dixie.
