In 1903, a young mother of four contacted the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Dallas. She was worried about who would take care of her children when she no longer could. The Ladies’ Missionary Society (forerunner to today’s Presbyterian Women) opened a house in Dallas to care for the children, and the house quickly filled with other orphans in need of care.

This legacy of hope has expanded during the past century to meet the changing needs of children and families in crisis. Today, our growing ministry provides foster group homes, individual foster homes, family preservation programs, support for single parents and advanced education/aftercare assistance.

Our broad spectrum of services, along with prayers and gifts from friends like you, allows Presbyterian Children’s Homes & Services to continue our century-long decade of providing Christ-centered care to children and families who need us.

By joining The 1903 Club, you can change a child’s future and help PCHAS stay the course we began more than 100 years ago.
