Our Programs: Corsicana
With help from Westminster Presbyterian Church, Corsicana became one of the initial sites for the PCHAS Child & Family Program in 2000. The goal of the Child & Family Program is to address a crisis before children have to be placed outside their homes and away from their families.
The Corsicana program helps to preserve families facing situations where critical financial, physical and mental health issues or other issues are threatening the stability and well-being of the children and other family members.
Our Child & Family Specialists provide a variety of services, including:
- visiting families in their homes to assess needs
- identifying strengths and determining areas in which families can grow
- helping families locate and access community services
- offering family and individual counseling.
In addition to working with their clients, the Child & Family staff in Corsicana are a force for change in the community, assisting with a community project to bring 211 information services to the area and providing trainings for social service agency professionals, board members and staff.
